The Asian Pacific Liver Center (APLC) is an innovative, comprehensive program designed to meet the needs of patients, families and community groups. Our full range of medical services takes patients from testing and counseling to treatment and ongoing monitoring, all in a culturally sensitive and confidential environment. When appropriate, we connect patients and referring physicians to other St. Vincent Medical Center services and resources.
The APLC also serves family members and friends who may be infected by hepatitis. Our community outreach program is designed to educate people about the dangers of hepatitis and liver disease and the steps they can take to protect themselves. Our medical experts are available to talk to community groups and coordinate large-scale testing. In addition, we provide the opportunity for patients to participate in pioneering medical research projects.
Although our focus is on the prevention and treatment of hepatitis B, we provide screening and other services related to other forms of hepatitis, as well as comprehensive testing and treatment for a wide range of liver diseases and conditions.
